The Christian community is aware that needs are great in third world nations around the globe. Countries like India with more than a billion souls; Nicaragua, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere; Romania, experiencing a modern day missions miracle; and others are experiencing a great evangelistic harvest of souls.
India, for example, is now a country closed to western missionaries. Volunteers and short-term missionaries remain the only strategy to reach this country of more than a billion souls and 13 million gods.
In spite of the fact that many national pastors face severe persecution and martydom, the response to the gospel is greater than ever. Thousands of pastors and other church leaders are needed for the growing number of believers in responsive nations today.
Feeding the hungry, providing literature, and building church buildings are no longer the best strategies for reaching the people of these nations.
So, what is the answer? We must train an army of national pastors and evangelists to win the lost, build churches, Christian schools, orphanages, and social ministries that will fulfill the Great Commission in this generation.
We have found a way to do it! It is called the R.H.E.M.A. Institute. We have trained hundreds of pastors and church leaders using the two-year Bible Training For Pastors curriculum and we do it in a 10 week period. R.H.E.M.A provides the students' travel, lodging, and food expenses. RHEMA also provides the teaching materials. Upon graduation, these men are placed in a city to plant a church where there is no witness for Christ.
The cost is unbelievable! $1000 will train a pastor and as little as $100 a month will support him and his ministry. He is then accountable to R.H.E.M.A. and his local organization.
